Dubai Expo: Expressions 2022
The Al Wasl Dome has been recognised as the world’s largest interactive, immersive dome. In 2021 Expo City Dubai unveiled a slew of cultural events, supported by the massive 360 degree canvas of the iconic space.
Artists in Motion produced the ‘Expressions’ show for the expo in 2022, showcasing different aspects of the environment of the UAE. Totem worked with AIM’s artistic directors to create the ‘land’ section.
This involved creating seamless 3D desert landscapes and generating a large particle simulation to realise a medieval fort which emerges from the sand, populated with local flora and fauna, all animated and rendered at 8k resolution for projection on the Al Wall dome.
