FIFA: World Congress 2008
The 58th FIFA World Congress was held in Sydney in 2008. Spinifex Group produced the audio-visuals for the conference; I worked with Spinifex’s producers to create an animated opener that focused on the FIFA branding, based on initial animatics provided by Spinifex.
The concept was to use the soccer ball and players to create motion ‘brushstrokes’ that would build the logo and convey the dynamism of the world game. Using filmed actors as well as 3D characters I created several sequences that highlighted the venerable institution’s core values.
