Infiniti: Brand Video 2008
The Infiniti Brand Video 2008 was the audio/visual background for the Infiniti auto show experience. It was designed to invoke the essence of the Infiniti brand, conveying the emotional experience of driving an Infiniti.
Spinifex Group produced the show. I worked with Spinifex’s artistic directors to take still photography and concept art of the new Infiniti range, and transform them into moving images.
To achieve this, a technique called camera mapping was used, whereby 2D photographic imagery is projected onto a simplified 3D model which roughly matches the shape of the 2D image. A camera move can then convey a sense of depth and dimensionality, bringing the still image to life.
