Mt Tai Concept Development

The Mt Tai project blends live dance, physical props and projected digital environments to bring new life to an ancient Chinese myth based on an iconic natural landmark, a sacred mountain visited annually by countless pilgrims and tourists.

Artists in Motion are producing the show, a planned permanent installation near the mountain. The project is in the development phase; I worked with AIM’s artistic directors to create digital matte paintings of various environments which will be projected onto the live-action stage.

These environments represent different natural elements, and form a backdrop to the unfolding story of Pangu, a godlike being central to many Chinese creation myths.
